What a day! The weather has been in our favor and the forecast for camp looks like it will hold up with limited wet days. We are quickly getting into the swing of things and our schedule. We began our day with pancakes and the usual options of fruit, granola and yogurt. After some community work time and getting our home away from home back in order, we began our first focus session which consisted of Adventure Biking, Bouldering, Country Club, Fabricmania, Farm and Garden, Softcore and Task Manager. Afterwards we dove into our first elective of the day which consisted of some more active activities including Parkour, Archery and SUP. Some cooler, more chill activities to start our day consisted of Chalk Art, Paper Airplanes, Origami making and Letter Making.
Tuesday means Taco Tuesday! It is always a hit with so many flavors between the salsa and guacamole. There are always more subtle options like perfectly done rice and creamy refried beans to help fuel campers through their day. After a little rest and time to digest our food, we jumped right into our PM Focus which had a lot of water action and some awesome art activities to brighten up camp a little bit more!
Tonight we're looking forward to flavor packed meatloaf, perfectly made falafel, creamy mashed potatoes, green beans and perfectly roasted cauliflower. We truly appreciate our kitchen crew and all they do to fuel our bodies with wholesome real food made with love. After dinner excitement continues with elective sign up and our evening activity which is an excellent time for friends and cabins to bond all together. With cooler temperatures at night, it makes for some great sleeping weather to gear up for yet another sunny day tomorrow!
