We could not have asked for a better start to our Holiday Hill session! Temperatures are ideal for any kind of fun. We fueled ourselves with eggs, bacon, home fries, yogurt, granola and blueberries. Our first electives were a hit to rekindle old friendships and create new ones. For the first electives of camp, there was much excitement fueling the environment. Some choices were Farm and Garden, Badminton, Jenga Battle, Fairy Houses, Street Hockey and Beaded Lizards.
After we enjoyed our Mac and Cheese with peas, sweet potato fries and our trustworthy salad bar, some campers chose to do their swim checks on this glorious day. If they didn't choose to do a swim check just yet, there will be another chance. During our second elective of the day, some campers relaxed near the waterfront making sand castles, canoeing or a more exciting game of spikeball. Others chose a favorite game of Gaga Ball, trustworthy Ultimate Frisbee and a camp favorite called Dibble Dabble. Regardless of the choices, campers' spirits are fueling positivity around camp!
For dinner, we are doing our weekly Meatless Monday! There are plenty of excellent protein options that kitchen crew marinates to bring our each foods’ best flavor to be paired with rice as well as our our abundant salad bar. Afterwards, campers are already excited for a camp activity favorite: Stones!!! This is an extreme capture the flag game that all campers can participate in one way or another. The loons have been very vocal at night, which definitely helps create campers memories of this magical place!
