Greetings from Hosmer Point! After a delicious breakfast of cinnamon rolls and maple sausage, we’re ready for a patriotic day! On the schedule are many aptly themed activities. Campers will put on a 4th of July Fashion Show and participate in the Boston Tea Party. After lunch, Counselor Sam and Head Counselor Sam will face off to determine the one true Uncle Sam. The sunny weather we’ve been having means campers have been loving the waterfront this week, playing games like Splashball and taking out our sailboats, sculls, and stand-up paddleboards for time on the lake. For lunch our kitchen crew is whipping up a classic comfort food, grilled cheese and tomato soup. At dinner, campers will fuel up with quintessential American fare, corn on the cob and roasted chicken, giving them the energy they need to face The Gauntlet. This evening activity is a combination of dodgeball and foot race, giving campers another opportunity to score team points. We’re looking forward to our beach party this weekend, and more warm, sunny days ahead!
