Today is Link Day! A special day with a special schedule of special events to mark the half-way point of the session. The day has been hot and muggy - perfect for all the waterfront activities on the schedule. We started the day out with a sleep-in to get everyone rested up for the next week of camp. The morning was filled with a rousing Cup Competition where members of Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Griffindor strove to win points for their team. Hufflepuff and Griffindor had a strong showing - will they defeat defending champion, Ravenclaw? After the competition, we took photos of each cabin (which will be available in a private Google Photos folder on the last day of camp) and enjoyed chicken kebabs for lunch. In the afternoon, we had some extra choice Time with many different activities open around camp (including the waterslide and tie-dye) before moving into the main event: Call of the Loon. This epic relay competition is held every session and is open to only 6 competitors from each team who submit their names into a “goblet of fire” and are chosen at random. The rest of camp watches with baited breath as they complete challenges around camp. As is often the case, the race came down to the fire building competition! We’re rounding out the day with a lake-side BBQ picnic and campfire and sign-ups for new Focus Area activities starting tomorrow!
