Thursday July 15

This morning we got to sleep in! Polar bears had their last chant in the lake, and the we had french toast for breakfast! It was a hot day for sure today, but we stayed hydrated and suncreened. In the morning we played lots of soccer games for house cup points (“soccerrrrrrama)”. We also made posters for our counselors to commemorate our time together. Lunch was a great big buffet of options like pesto cheese bread, pasta, and salad. A group of 12 of the oldest campers accomplished our Homeward Bound challenge in 40 minutes with only some minor scrapes from twigs and thorns in the woods. In the afternoon we had many water competitions like plate diving, spike ball, swim race, and buzz lightyear challenge (“waterrrrrrrrama”). We cleaned our cabins and started to pack up our stuff as we got ready for thanksgiving dinner. We announced the final house cup scores- 4th place Hufflepuff, 3rd place Gryffindor, 2nd place Slytherin, 1st place RAVENCLAW! Our community leaders were selected and honored tonight at the community tree ceremony- Sophia Augsberger and Teddy Ames. After dinner we had a great big dance party in the backyard. We had a blast in our fancier clothes, all dancing and playing games outside. We got to stay up just a little later tonight, and we are reflecting on the amazing experiences and friendships we have made here this session.
