Friday July 8
A special morning as the capstones led the Polar Bear Chant from North Beach where they spent the night in tents! Several campers were still up early and running quick laps for Roller Bears as well. CITs practiced back-boarding for their life guarding class as campers built rafts and scullers sped by. Plenty of sunscreen, water, and hats today for all as the summer sun poked through the lovely clouds. Today was the last day of our focus areas so we culminated with challenging and fun activities. Meals included french toast casserole for breakfast, mac and cheese and much more for lunch, and a delicious dinner of Vermont sausages and lots of veggies. Evening activity is the always fun and exciting Survival. Section campfires and songs follow before we head to bed and get a little extra shuteye with a sleep in!
