Wednesday July 6
A cool and rainy start to the day greeted us this morning. Roller and Polar Bears were still well attended before we headed up to a breakfast of oatmeal, blueberry coffee cake, bagels, bacon, and cereal. A few bits of blue sky poked through the mist during morning focus. Many CITS were at the waterfront all morning beginning lifeguard training amongst the water aerobic and SUP jousters. By lunch the day was stunning with beautiful clouds, a nice breeze, and lots of sun poking through as we enjoyed delicious tacos and a huge salad bar.The smoke from our wood burning pizza oven heating up wafted across camp as we participated in our pm focus areas and electives. Mouths were watering from the soccer field to the water front, as well as from arts and crafts, the theater, and the farm. Tonight’s activity is the always lively, fun, and silly Casino Night! After that we circle up and sing our closing song before we head back and let the loons and bard owls sing us to sleep in our cozy sleeping bags.
