Tuesday June 22
After a rainy night last night, we had a calm and quiet morning. It sounds like every cabin got a LOT of sleep. Fewer roller bears running around and fewer polar bears in the water today. The temperature today was cooler overall which was a relief after the hot and humid day we had yesterday. Breakfast was pancakes, muffins, and sausage with orange juice and of course cereal bar was also available. Our morning and afternoon focus areas stayed the same, but some of the new electives offered today were mountain biking, chalk art, cooking in the garden, and making beaded lizards. For lunch we had mac and cheese, pizza rolls, salad, fruit salad, and brownies. The camp dogs have been getting a lot of love, attention, and games of fetch especially Nurse Deb’s dog Doug. Some cabins had their turn on the low ropes course or the water slide during cabin time, and other cabins will have their turns in the coming days. We had chicken and rice for dinner, with curry vegetables. The evening activity was Game Show night where we had a lot of fun playing name that tune, minute-to-win-it challenges, and other game show-esque activities like “Guess which counselors foot this is”. This evening is cool and perfect to cozy up in our sleeping bags and get another good nights sleep.
