Tuesday July 12
Camp got to sleep in and have brunch today! Many thankful campers and counselors used that time for some much needed R&R. Several welcome rain showers passed through all day. Focus areas were amazing with beginning sailing heading out into a stiff breeze and an exciting adventure. Mountain bikers were a blur as they rode by and their excited chatter faded into the woods after them. CITs all became lifeguards today after a week-long course, congratulations! Every spare moment today seemed to have cabins and campers practicing for the lip-sync. We had to stay indoors for a bit when we heard thunder but were treated to a spectacular full rainbow. Roast local chicken, and oven roasted potatoes were enjoyed for dinner. The evening activity was counselor hunt, excited campers searching for counselors could be heard from the waterfront to arts and crafts. Loons and bard owls once again called all night as we slept soundly.
