Tuesday July 6

A light rain did not stop the polar bears this morning! We woke up to their daily chant, and the droplets on our cabin roofs. Breakfast was really tasty today; pancakes with sausage and blueberry banana squares. Cereal/yogurt bar was also available. We went to our community work time areas and then to AM focus. Next, we went to morning electives like smoking meat in the backyard with Jon, aggressive self care with Sammy, paint and sip, and Floatation station. Lunch today was mac and cheese or pesto pasta, pizza rolls, green salad, and a super tasty berry cobbler. During rest hour some of us played games in the backyard or just relaxed on the porch. In the afternoon we went to our PM focus areas and electives. E3 had lots of fun choices today; backyard games, game room, barbecue pit, and a giant slip and slide. The furthest slide on the slip and slide was achieved by camper Declan Pagnucco. We had some down time in our cabins after that and then had chicken and veggie stir fry for dinner. The evening activity was counselor hunt. We competed on our house cup teams to try to find counselors that were hiding all over. At the end, the counselors revealed that they were all worth different points, some were really high and some really low. The winning team was Hufflepuff! That activity required a little bit of skill and a little bit of luck. We went back to our sections for a campfire before bed. We have been sleeping really well after long fun days full of activities.
