Friday July 22
An incredible Polar Bear turn out once again after a warm nights sleep that saw the graduating Capstones telling stories and having s’mores before a group camp out at the theater. Breakfast had fruit, bagels and cream cheese, sausages, cereal, and a full oatmeal bar. A few people were already sweating by the end of breakfast, but everyone put on sunscreen, drank water, and found themselves in the water at some point today. It was the last day of our focus areas culminating in fun and challenging activities and games. Electives included everything from dancing (under a water hose) to arts and crafts, and a rumor has it ice cream may have made on the farm! Our goats can now be seen delivering mail around camp wearing little saddle bags. Campers walk with them and it is just a wonderful thing to see. Dinner was a very tasty steak and cheese sandwich with roast potato wedges. The evening activity was Country Night, complete with a tractor pull (campers pulling a tractor) and lots of hilarious and fun activities. We sang our closing song by the trees as dusk settled and headed down to our cabins for a good nights sleep.
