Thursday July 8
Elective Highlights include: Zumba, Spa in the Garden, Dodgeball, Pirate Training, Extreme Bocce, Letter Writing, Tree Bending & more! CITs were thankful for the wood-fired sauna after their chilly lifeguard session this morning! For the first time all session, we were able to open up the waterslide for the entire camp! Many campers & LIT Campbell tried it for the first time! For lunch, campers enjoyed BBQ pork sliders that were cooked in the camp smoker on Tuesday. Tonight was CASINO NIGHT! Campers signed up for a Casino Table and earned money for their table by playing all the other games. At the end of the evening, the teams used the money they earned to bid on counselors (who represented prizes). No one knew if the counselor was a good prize (ice cream sundae party) or a bad prize (serving hot chocolate to the Polar Bears). Many campers & counselors dressed up in silly costumes to attend the evening activity. “Best Dress” awards went to Emiko and Erin! We are hoping for warmer weather in the upcoming days, but the spirit around camp has been positive and happy regardless of the chilly weather!
