Our hillside fared just fine during the wind and rain yesterday. It’s misting today, but we are at the ready for 80*F and sunshine tomorrow! There were some cozy indoor activities, some of which consisted of creating whimsical dream catchers, colorful hair wraps or card games while others were enjoying their outdoor adventures with rugby or water aerobics. Warm macaroni and cheese with roasted carrots and cauliflower came at the perfect time to shelter from a brief mist of rain.
While the rain picked up, focus areas did not slow down! Beginner sailing and advanced sculling were a hit despite the cloudy weather. Woodworking is always a hit, as well as paper flower making. Some campers prepared for our Thanksgiving dinner later on this week to celebrate our time together during Wild Branch session. It will without a doubt be a beautiful dinner accompanied by beautiful arts and crafts work created today.
The kitchen prepared awesome cookies (gluten free always available!) to power us through our tonight is a favorite among camp; counselor hunt! Fortunately, the weather will be in our favor from here on our and give us a chance to dry our clothes and warm our bones.
