Today is the first full day of a brand new two week Wild Branch Session! It was a cool night last night after a big campfire and amazing opening ceremony. There were not too many Polar Bear swimmers this cold morning but a solid dozen campers braved the water and yelled out our chant from the buoy like they were 50 campers. Campers were off having a blast on this beautiful sunny day on their focus areas and electives. Activities included everything from mountain biking to paddling, sailing, sculling, archery, theater games, arts and crafts, friendship bracelet, farm and garden, wood carving, building projects, mermaid fun, survival skills, and self care!
Campers had a great breakfast of eggs, blueberry coffee cake, oatmeal, sausages, juice, yogurt and fruit. Lunch was a hearty hodgepodge of tasty food which we got to enjoy outside on the hill talking with friends. For dinner we had a wonderful grilled pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and a full salad bar featuring lettuce from our garden. As an all group evening activity we will play an all camp game of STONES! (like a super game of capture the flag) before heading to the cabin sections for a closing fire and some well earned rest as the loons on the lake sing us to sleep in our cozy sleeping bags.
