Monday July 4
It is a joyous beautiful day here at Hosmer Point. We began our first full day with a solid amount of roller bears as well as Polar Bear swimmers who chanted their song from the buoy and awoke the rest of camp. Camp is awash with many smiling faces as we began our focus areas and electives for the week which include such amazing activities as: Challenge, Sailing, Sculling, Mountain-biking, Olympics, Cards and Dungeons and Dragons, Archery, Collage making, cloud watching and so many more! After our morning activities we enjoyed a filling lunch of salad, wraps, mashed potatoes, fruit, quinoa and brownies! This afternoon we continued with our focus areas and second electives. For our choice time, many chose to cool off by the water front! Later today will have cabin time where counselors will chose to do any sort of activity with their cabins and help them get to know and bond with their new friends :) Tonight’s evening activity is Stones. This game is very similar to capture the flag, just with some adjustments to the rules! Stones is one of the oldest games here on camp, and each member will compete and earn points for their Harry Potter House cup team. Finally, we will end the evening with fires in both the Bay and Point section. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
Toodles,
