Monday July 25
A strong rain was falling when we woke up making it a little hard to get out of bed. It quickly tapered during Polar Bears and folks noticed new mushrooms and greener moss as they walked up to a breakfast of eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, pancakes, and oatmeal. Community work time saw cabins scattering to all ends of camp to help beautify where we live. Campers headed out to their second day in their focus area and had a cooler cloudy day to play. Electives today included such diverse activities as stand up paddling, salsa salsa (eating and dancing!), splashball, disc golf, flower questing, card games, ping-pong tournament, world cup soccer, karaoke, pirate training, spelling bee, and backyard games. Dinner tonight was a beautiful local ham and scalloped potatoes and the evening activity before bed was the always exciting gauntlet.
