Friday July 23
Another beautiful sunny day. Water felt great for polar bears this morning! Today was the last day of our focus areas, and we had many fun electives! After a classic picnic lunch we relaxed outside for rest hour to enjoy the sun. One group got onto the aquajump and went out for a paddle today. We had our PM focus areas for the last time and more elective choices. Next week we will choose new focus areas for the second half of the session. Elective sign up will continue day to day. We got to see some of the Olympic opening ceremonies today which was so cool! Spaghetti was for dinner with sausage sauce and garlic bread. The evening activity tonight was Camper Hunt! It’s a huge game of manhunt where the campers try to sneak from the chapel to Charley’s cabin without getting tagged by a counselor. There’s lots of strategy to this game, campers who are sneaky or speedy can be super successful. We played this game for greecey cup points so it will be added into our overall scores at the end of the session. The evening was cool as we returned to our cabins to sleep.
