Burlington International Airport (BTV) is the closest airport, 90 minutes away. We are happy to pick up and drop off campers on closing or opening days as long as this is organized well in advance. Craftsbury staff will facilitate check in at the airport and stay with campers until the flight has taken off.

Manchester (NH) Regional Airport (MHT) is about 3 hours away.

Driving Directions:

While Internet or GPS based mapping systems do a great job to direct one to the Craftsbury area, we recommend using our detailed directions below for navigation within 5 miles of Craftsbury (from Hardwick North or Irasburg South). Northbound or Southbound.

Northbound

From Route 14, take a right turn at the “Craftsbury Outdoor Center 6 miles” sign (South Craftsbury Road). Pass through Craftsbury Village, go up a hill, through the village of Craftsbury Common (a collection of white houses at the top of the hill). Sterling College is on your left in the common, the Post Office and Craftsbury Academy are on your right. Continue out of town approximately 3/4 mile past the Common, and look for a yellow curve sign. As the sign indicates, the pavement curves to the left, you want to bear right off the pavement and follow the “Craftsbury Outdoor Center” signs (staying on Mill Village Road). Continue winding on the dirt road for just under 1.25 miles and turn right onto Lost Nation Road. The entrance to the camp is located approximately 1.8 miles on the left. You will pass the Craftsbury Outdoor Center on the left and continue another mile or so until you come to an opening in the trees with a brown fence. The second road is the entrance to camp. The office is at the top of the hill, behind the dining hall.
