Hosmer Point Title

Scholarships

Operating as a non-profit foundation, our goal is to make a session at Hosmer Point Camp affordable to as many families in our community as possible. We will give preference to Vermont families but encourage any families in need to apply. In general, families will be considered for aid if total household (all adults) falls within our tier pricing structure chart (please see attached link)  Hosmer Point Scholarship and Tier Pricing Structure. Divorced parents should attach a statement regarding their financial situations.

In order to help clarify the various requests, we will follow the collegiate pattern and ask for both our own financial aid form and a copy of the most recent IRS form 1040 (last year’s or this year’s, if you have it done. (Front page only.) W-2’s are not enough. All information is confidential and is only viewed by the Directors.

It is our intent to offer aid for one session only. We need to be able to place children in the sessions where there is room, so please indicate first and second choices on the enrollment form. Please try to be as flexible as possible. In figuring your contribution, please include in your thinking that it costs $50 to $100 for food and entertainment for your child to stay at home for a week. Please stretch your resources as far as possible. We will do the same. We require a minimum of $250 for one session.

Please fill out and return the accompanying Scholarship Form, and a Residental Camper Application 2012, as soon as possible. In order to help you plan your summer and help you to begin making payments, decisions are made on a rolling basis.
